Summary
Skellig 4pm, Sky3 The Free Weekend Pass (basically slinging a few previously subscription-only shows on to Sky3 in order to show Freeview viewers what they're missing) throws up a handful of winners today. Not only do we get House and Ross Kemp: Return To Afghanistan tonight, but there's also a chance to have a look at this modern fairytale. It drags in spots, and some of the effects look a bit clunky, but Tim Roth is brittle and hypnotic as the strange angel creature a young boy nds living in his garage, and slightly older kids are going to love it.
Wall-E (2008) U 6pm, Disney Cinemagic Sky 622 Virgin 728 The studio behind Toy Story and Finding Nemo, Pixar has produced some jaw-dropping animated movies, but none better than Wall-E. The story of a battered cleaning robot on a deserted Earth who falls in love with a high-tech probe android is funny, clever, exciting and, above all, emotionally involving. Kids will love the characters, slapstick and action, but grown-ups will need a heart of stone not to be moved by the 'human' drama.
