RESULTS from the first research into the effects of seaweed on allergic rhinitis in young women show that those who ate large amounts were almost 50 per cent less likely to suffer from the condition.

Sneezing, a blocked or runny nose and itchy eyes are symptoms of hayfever, or seasonal allergic rhinitis, a condition that affects 15 to 20 per cent of people in the UK.
