Summary
Sergeant Rutledge (1960) PG 2.10pm, Five John Ford redresses the racial balance in his lms with this western starring Woody Strode as a black of cer accused of murdering his white superior and then raping the man's daughter. Tokenism? Possibly, though Ford at half- cock is better than most directors giving it both barrels.
