Summary
SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON will have to take a huge cut on his Pounds 10million contract if he quits Notts County to become the new coach of Sweden. The League Two club confirmed yesterday that they will not stand in Eriksson's way if he decides to leave three months after being appointed director of football on a five-year deal.
The Swedish FA have been in contact with the former England and Mexico boss over succeeding Lars Lagerback, but will only pay him Pounds 300,000 a year. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is also on the shortlist. Eriksson, 61, is currently interviewing candidates to succeed Ian McParland, sacked as County boss last week. One option would be for him to job share with the help of Tord Grip and Hans Bakke.See the full content of this document
