AS UK expats in Sri Lanka, we're amazed at claims about 'genocide' and 'war crimes' in this country. Genocide, defined as 'the deliberate extermination of a race or nation', is definitely not happening at all.
Many Tamil people in our area live and work alongside the Sinhalese and Muslim population on an equal footing. Their employment is commensurate with their education and many own businesses. Road signs and public notices are in three languages -- Sinhala, Tamil and English -- and all schools teach the same three languages.See the full content of this document
