I WONDER how many of the recalls of women being screened for cervical cancer (Mail) are a result of the initial test not collecting enough cells for a proper reading.

The old system involved the cells being put on a slide and sent to the lab, where a technician checked them under a microscope. But this was said to be less than 100 per cent accurate.
