VICTIMS' families and friends stayed away yesterday as a granite cornerstone was laid in memory of those who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre.
The stone is the first brick of the Freedom Tower, the 1,776ft skyscaper planned for the Twin Towers site in New York. But the families of many of the 2,749 who died on September 11, 2001 believe the area known as Ground Zero should be left as a memorial park.See the full content of this document
