TO BE frank, I have never quite warmed to Channel 4 news anchor Jon Snow. For a start, he's far too right-on for comfort, even though he is supposed to be as neutral as a Swiss omelette.
And, please! -- those 'amusing' ties are less of an accessory than a cry for help. Any man, with the possible exception of Harry Hill, who tries to inject a flurry of comedy into his everyday dress is just sending up a distress flare for latent male inadequacy.
