MAEVE, 64, has written bestsellers such as Echoes and Circle Of Friends which have all been adapted for the screen. Her new novel, Nights Of Rain And Stars, is published by Orion on August 25 at Pounds 17.99. Maeve was born in Dalkey, a suburb of Dublin, where she now lives with her English husband Gordon Snell, also a writer. They also have a home in West London.
