HEALTH and safety rules could see tens of thousands of trees chopped down unnecessarily, countryside campaigners warned yesterday.
Under the draft guidelines from the British Standards Institution, every tree in the country would have to be inspected by a landowner once a year, a trained individual every three years and by an expert every five years, to ensure they do not pose a danger.See the full content of this document
