FIVE-year-old children are now undergoing full mouth extractions because their teeth have become so rotten, dentists have warned.

The Irish Dental Association (IDA) said tooth decay in early childhood is becoming increasingly common due to the consumption of sweet drinks and 30 per cent of five-year-olds now have one or more cavities.
