Summary
I DON'T think those 6ft red roses (Mail) would impress me very much if I were a young lady.
They come from Ecuador, where they're using up the soil of a poor country which could be used to grow nutritious food. They're probably smothered in chemicals and fertilisers, damaging the environment - and the farmers and workers in Ecuador who grow them are probably paid next to nothing.See the full content of this document
