AN ARISTOCRATIC Fianna Fail minister has defended TDs who sit for less than 90 days a year, saying their generous holidays are 'short breaks'.

The well-heeled Martin Mansergh made the claim even though Dail deputies enjoy a three-month summer holiday. The junior minister for arts even griped about how TDs do not get as much time off as they did in the Eighties.
