A SIMPLE computer glitch caused the Dublin Port Tunnel to shut down for four hours yesterday afternoon, creating a backup of hundreds of trucks which were then forced to travel through the city centre, causing long delays for motorists.
The fault, which was related to the tunnel's sensor system, occurred just after 1pm yesterday, forcing operators to shut down the tunnel until around 5pm, creating traffic congestion in both directions.See the full content of this document
