Summary
IN THE past two years, more than 100 women and children have been trafficked into Ireland as sex slaves. Since 2003, there has been a two-fold increase in the importation of drugs. Only last week we saw that at least nine major Irish gangs are operating across Europe.
These issues show that we need a co-ordinated approach to crime that knows no borders. The Lisbon Treaty enables us to do this.See the full content of this document
