NEWCASTLE fans were united yesterday - in song and sentiment, if not geographically. On a bright afternoon three days after the death of Sir Bobby Robson, they paid homage in a way fitting for somebody who was one of their own.
More than 2,000 fans travelled to Tannadice for a friendly, many of them wearing Newcastle jerseys bearing Robson's picture on the back with the words: Never Forgotten.
