Tuffey Wants Milestones Marked with a Win ; First Division [Scot Region]

Summary

PARTICK THISTLE goalkeeper Jonny Tuffey is hoping for a unique hat-trick when he brings in Firhill's centenary today with his 100th start for the club.

Thistle are celebrating 100 years of playing at their famous old ground and the 22-year-old would love to cap off the day with a win over Dunfermline. Tuffey said: 'It should be a brilliant day -- it's a great occasion for everyone at the club, and especially the fans. 'Personally, it's great to reach the milestone of 100 starts and it's fitting that it falls on Firhill's centenary. 'There has been a lot of hype and a lot of build-up to this game and rightly so. But for the players it will all have gone to waste if we don't follow it up with a win. 'We need to keep our minds on the game. When I came here, Kenny Arthur was the established goalkeeper, having been here 10 years or so. I knew it was going to be a huge challenge for me and, if I'm honest, it has all happened really quickly. 'Apart from the first six months, I have managed to keep possession of the jersey and it's been a great move for me at this stage of my career.
