Summary
DAN STEVENS, Nancy Carroll, Neil Pearson and Ed Stoppard, who are among those cast -- so far -- for a new production of Tom Stoppard's play Arcadia, which will open at the Duke of York's Theatre in late May after the acclaimed A View From The Bridge ends its limited run. David Leveaux will direct Arcadia, which is set in one of our great houses in 1809 and the present day. Stoppard explores whether or not an incident involving Lord Byron occurred there.
HARRY and Luke Treadaway, who star in Mark Ravenhill's eyepopping play Over There, which is on at the Royal Court, downstairs, as part of a season of dramas about Germany. The Treadaway twins play, er, twins, who are split up -- one on either side of the Wall -- and reunited when the Wall comes down. This isn't for folk who want easy theatre-going. I think it's complex and dangerous. It's certainly an antidote to the mega musicals I write about elsewhere on this page. I'm a big fan of the Treadaway thespians, because they don't stick to the norm and I like that. They take Over There to Germany later this month for three performances.See the full content of this document
