Summary
MUCH has been made of the provision of food in care homes.
I'm 87 and have had several strokes. I have been in this home some four years. Far from being starved, we get plentiful meals of a reasonable variety, and there is always a large basket of fruit. People who have difficulty feeding themselves are well looked after, and if necessary the meals are taken to their rooms. One limitation, of course, is the number of staff available. There will always be odd places that do not come up to scratch - that is only to be expected. But to pretend that all homes are of this nature is misleading and very wrong.See the full content of this document
