RICE, both brown and white, is a source of carbohydrate and provides energy. The most wholesome rice is brown rice, as it hasn't had its nutritious outer bran layer removed and, therefore, has more valuable B vitamins (needed for energy, the immune system and strong healthy cells) and fibre.
