THE ALL England Club, who have always trumpeted the seamless efficiency of their construction work at Wimbledon, have filed a Pounds 4.6million High Court writ, claiming serious defects in the Millennium Building.

The club claim architects Building Design Partnership and sub- contractors FB Ellmer were allegedly responsible for 'defective design and poor workmanship' in the media centre and facilities for players, members and officials, completed in 2000.
