WIMBLEDON profits sank to a 14-year low this summer but the Championships still generated Pounds 25million to be spent on British tennis.

The figure is Pounds 500,000 down on last year and the drop is partly attributable to a slight fall in spectator numbers because of the unusually poor summer weather.
