THERE was an extravagant bash in Barbados this week when Tiger Woods married Elin Nordegren. The wedding took place at sunset in the grounds of the ritziest hotel, Sandy Lane - a coral-stone pleasure palace on the island's best beach.

Reported to have cost Pounds 800,000, it was one of the most lavish parties the hotel has undertaken during its long history of dealing with the rich and famous.
