AN 88-year-old grandmother who became one of Germany's top doctors has been accused of being a Nazi killer involved in the wartime murders of 159 handicapped women and children.

Documents of the Stasi, the former East German secret police, led to the arrest of Dr Rosemarie Albrecht the first woman to be tried for involvement in a Nazi death project.
