Is this true?

WYATT EARP was of the sixth American-born generation of his family. His paternal ancestors were Scottish or Scottish-Irish, not from the English Midlands.

James Earp, first of his blood to reach American soil, settled in Fairfax County, Virginia, in the latter half of the 17th century. He probably came to that country as an indentured servant.
